Small Blacks TV to return to the screen
26 February 2010
Young rugby fans will have an extra reason to get out of bed early on the weekends next Sunday as Small Blacks TV returns to their screens for another bigger, brighter and better season.
Popular hosts Jas (Jason Fa'afoi) and Miranda (Miranda Dunn) will be back again with all the regulars from last year including Small Blacks TV anchorman Conrad Smith and Cooking with Kaks host Richard Kahui, who also teams up with Scott ‘Scooter' Waldrom as his kitchen assistant this season.
Favourite Small Blacks TV star ‘Rugger' will return for another instalment of Rugger Tales. He will also team up with Dan Carter this season to help him show young rugby players a range of skills to practice.
There will also be new faces and segments. Piri Weepu joins the cast introducing viewers to a new Maori word each week with A Word from Piri. There will also be a new rugby science segment aimed at teaching kids the science behind the sport.
Another Small Blacks TV favourite, Black Chat, returns with a new twist as members of the All Blacks compete in a series of challenges to see who can eat a dry Weetbix the quickest.
Small Blacks TV will run for 21 weeks with the first show airing on TV2 at 7.30am on Sunday 7 March. Re-runs will also play on SKY TV on SKY Sport 1, 2, 3 and the Rugby Channel in the days following. You can also catch up on anything you have missed by heading to www.smallblacks.com.
