Local rugby identity Lex Wilcox passes away

Counties Manukau Rugby is saddened by the passing of long-time player, administrator and supporter Lex Wilcox earlier this week.

Wilcox played for the Pukekohe club before representing Counties Manukau 12 times in the 1950s during a distinguished playing career.

He has held various administrative positions over the years and was part of the AS Wilcox and Sons family business that have been long-time partners of the Union.

He will be greatly missed and the Union would like to offer their condolences to the Wilcox family as well as all of Lex’s friends and former teammates.
