Last weekend, 109 U18 year old men and women from the Northern Region came together to immerse themselves in tikanga and rugby

10 from 12 Counties players attended the camp and all gained a lot from the experience. These players were

• Makayla Eli
• Eddie Apelu-Pomare
• Jayden Rogers
• Nikita Simpson
• Payson Manuel-Hura
• Sean Savage
• Tyrell Karaka

The aim from here is to qualify for the July camps where the best from the entire country will come together to do it all again but at a higher level. This will be a first for the girls so another great opportunity for girls in rugby, while the boys will be putting their best foot forward to earn themselves a spot in the New Zealand Maori U18’s team
