Junior Counties Cavaliers beat Fiji Under 20

DateWed, 13 Apr 2016

Last night the Junior Counties Cavaliers (Under 19) defeated Fiji Under 20, 26-11 at Colin Lawrie Fields.

Viliami Taulani was one of the stand outs for the young Counties Cavaliers side, scoring two tries as well as making some surging runs, line breaks, tackle busts and he was also tough on defence.

Gene TeAmo, who captained the side scored a try and so did Reno Su'a. Su'a scored his in acrobatic fashion, diving in mid air to catch a difficult pass and putting it down in one motion.

George Edwards kicked three conversions.

Fiji Under 20 scored one try and kicked two penalties. They have been preparing in New Zealand for the Junior World Rugby Trophy tournament, which will be held in Zimbabwe from April 19 to May 1. They depart on Thursday the 14th of April.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who helped to make the game possible and Good Luck to Fiji at the tournament.
