PIC Steelers make two changes for finale

Onewhero’s Cameron Roigard will make his first start for the Counties Manukau PIC Steelers as they face Southland in their final Mitre 10 Cup match of the season on Friday night.

The PIC Steelers return to Navigation Homes Stadium looking to finish the season on a high with a victory over their Championship rivals.

Roigard has been handed the number nine jumper by coach Tai Lavea, with Jonathan Taumateine shifting to the bench having started all nine games thus far.

Lock Potu Leavasa comes back into the starting side at lock for this match in the only other change to the side that played North Harbour last weekend.

Ezekiel Lindenmuth and Sam Slade are both included in the starting side, which means they will have started all 10 matches this season.

Southland can keep their semi-final hopes alive with a win while the PIC Steelers will be looking to secure a win that keeps them off the bottom of the table.

Kick-off is at 7.05pm.
