Pukekohe Hiab

Pukekohe Hiab Transport (PHT) was established in 2005, with the opportunity becoming apparent due to the lack of Hiabs based in the Franklin, Auckland area.

With the help of a friend who previously operated a Hiab business in the area years prior, we started out with just one truck, and gradually expanded to four hiab trucks and one tractor unit to tow our flat deck trailers. As the journey continued, we brought three truck & refrigerated trailers onto the fleet, and commenced three-set runs for Foodstuffs (New World, Pak'nSave, etc) to the Bay of Plenty area. To provide the ultimate solution for hiab logistics and refrigerated transport, we operate across broad horizons, serving not only the North Island, but also clients on both a private or commercial basis.

A wider fleet called for an experienced and capable team. Founder Craig Morris has been in the transport industry for 35 years, starting out working with Barry & Maxine Morris (his parents) as a driver, and then to becoming an owner/driver in 1986. Our 2IC Jason Smith has been in the transport agency for 22 years starting with us on the chiller trucks and then into the role as 2IC/dispatcher. With Jason in the office and able to step into relief driving along with Craig, we can manage most logistics demands, all with quality, affordable, and punctual service and with health & safety in mind.

Beyond the trucks, Janine Morris brings her office/admin expertise to the business, ensuring prompt and friendly service, and streamlined invoicing and client management within PHT.
