Counties Manukau Secondary School teams take part in annual Condors Rugby 7s

Counties Manukau Secondary School teams took part in the annual Condors Rugby 7s competition held at Blake Park in Mt Maunganui last week (December 2-4).

Wesley College finished 11th out of 32 teams in the boys competition while James Cook High School finished in 27th spot, in their first time competing at this level.

Over in the girls draw, Wesley College finished 14th and Rosehill College 17th (also on debut at the tournament) while Pukekohe High School were eighth out of 10 invitational teams, taking part for the first time.

The tournament displayed some amazing talent from across the nation and it was special for our student athletes to be a part of.

The Moana Pasifika Cup 7s is this weekend in Otahuhu, Auckland and will feature many of our Counties Manukau student athletes and coaches - we wish them all the best.

To round out the year, the Global Youth 7s will follow the weekend after where some of the best high school talent across the world with 50+ teams on show (nearly half of the teams entered from around the world) will be on display at Kings College, Auckland 15-17 December.
