Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union and Manukau Institute of Technology team up - New Zealand Diploma in Sport, Recreation and Exercise (Level 5)

Love rugby? Keen to kick off your career in the Sport and Recreation Industries? Looking for a change?

In partnership with Manukau Institute of Technology, we are offering the opportunity to work directly in a rugby setting while earning your qualification in Sport, Recreation and Exercise!

The level five programme is industry based, meaning you will be learning from staff with international and national experience, while working directly alongside the Counties Manukau Rugby team.

The hands on and in field experiences which support your academic learnings can be tailored to your areas of interest, with chances to work in our Community and High Performance spaces, event planning and delivery, sports administration, coaching and more.

Being a part-time programme you will have the flexibility to keep up with your sporting or other commitments, and studying close to home saves the time and money spent travelling to and from campus.

Working directly in the local community also provides networking opportunities and chances to build valuable local relationships and connections which are vital for the future. If it’s your first time studying - your fees for the year will be covered.

MIT have been delivering the course since 2014, and are well equipped to support and accommodate your journey as an academic and the team based at the Union are here to build you up as an individual. The programme is designed for people wanting to become highly qualified professionals in sport, recreation, exercise science, sport coaching and sport/leisure management.

Does this sound like a bit of you? Head over to the course details tab for more information.
