Manurewa Centenary

Manurewa Rugby Football will be celebrating 100 years on the 22nd-25th April 2021.  Please register your details below to be kept up to date with all information regarding the weekend.

Once the event information is available we will send an email out about registrations for each event, fees and any other information.

Events as follows

Thursday: Open training night bar open hosted by MRFC

Friday: Mix and Mingle hosted by MRFC Centurions & MRFC

Saturday Rugby: Games and Aftermatch hosted by MRFC 

Saturday Night: Rewa Night Ball hosted by MRFC Ball Committee and MRFC

Sunday: "The Ole Boys Day" hosted by MRFC Old Boys & MRFC.

WAIUKU DISTRICT RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

Historically Waiuku’s playing strength and style was based on a strong forward pack reflecting a combination of the farming community and the steel mill. There is excellent committee support and support from the local community and sponsors. Since 2000 the club has become one of the powerhouses of Counties rugby, winning the Premiership in 2000, 2003 and 2010, with runner-up placings in 2004 and 2009.

Several players have moved on to higher honours, most noticeably Jim Coe, Alan Dawson, Roy Craig and the Club’s first locally bred All Black, Stephen Donald.

We are currently seeking applicants for coaching and management positions for the following grades: Premier, Premier Reserves, U21s and U85s.

The successful candidates will have proven club, High School 1st XV or representative coaching experience.

On and off-field skills required at a high level include:

  • Leadership
  • Strategic planning and thinking from pre-season through to in-season.
  • Technical and tactical coaching for individuals and the team
  • People management skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Player development

A high level of commitment and initiative are required. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the further development and success of our club.
