Counties Manukau Rugby has confirmed wider men’s and women’s sevens squads that will represent the region at tournaments over the next couple of weekends.

Those players will contest the Thames Valley Sevens in Whangamata this Saturday before playing at the Counties Manukau Sevens the following weekend at Navigation Homes Stadium.

The squads will then both be trimmed to a final group of 14 that will take part in the Northern Region Sevens tournament in Whangarei on November 25.

Manurewa coach Jeremy Clark, who has led his side to back-to-back McNamara Cups and a Counties Manukau Club Sevens title, has been confirmed as coach of the men’s team. Patumahoe’s Kaino Kaino and Manurewa’s Ahsee Tuala will serve as assistants.

Black Ferns and Counties Energy Heat star Hazel Tubic will coach the women’s team with Peter Shaw and Ti Tauasosi confirmed as managers.
