Winners celebrated at CMRFU Awards Night

Cameron Roigard was the big winner at the Counties Manukau Rugby annual awards night on Wednesday, taking home three big gongs.

The talented halfback, who was named in the All Blacks XV squad to tour Europe next month, picked up the overall Player of the Year award, the Players’ Player of the Year award and the Defensive Player of the Year award.

First-five Riley Hohepa, who took over as captain of the side midway through the campaign, was given the Pride in the Hoops award.

Manurewa’s Tevita Ofa picked up the Rookie of the Year award while exciting winger Peniasi Malimali was named Attack Player of the Year.

Bombay’s Adam Brash took out the Most Improved Player award.

Darius Mauga won the Men’s Development Player of the Year award, Kanavale Helu claimed the U19 Player of the Year while Raiden Wells took out the U85kg Player of the Year.
